This suggested that the patient had incurred an infection for which antibiotics had to be administered. An early enteral nutrition would have increased the immunity level of the patient and would have prevented infection through bacterial translocation. Laboratory reports indicated renal and liver function impairment. Further, a loose stool indicated complications in the digestive tract. On the tenth day, the patient suffered a circulatory collapse after complaining of nausea, vomiting and abdominal discomfort. Upon discharge, she was found to have lost body fat and reported of weakness.
